Affiliate Disclosure
YOKO may earn a commission when readers follow retailer links and make qualifying purchases. This helps fund research, editing, hosting, and product-data maintenance.
How affiliate links work
Retailer links are marked as sponsored in the page code. A qualifying purchase may generate a commission without increasing the price charged by the retailer. Price, seller, availability, packaging, warranty, and returns must still be verified at checkout.
Editorial independence
Commission potential does not guarantee coverage, ranking, a positive score, or inclusion in a Best guide. Reviews should state meaningful drawbacks, fit risk, evidence limits, and alternatives even when a product has an affiliate link.
Research versus hands-on testing
Most current YOKO reviews are research-led. A page only claims hands-on testing when it documents the test conditions and original observations. Manufacturer claims and editorial judgments are identified separately.
Sponsored content and samples
Paid placements, sponsored content, and free product samples must be clearly labeled near the relevant content. They do not silently convert a research-led page into an independently tested review.
