How to Clean Sexual Wellness Products Safely
The correct cleaning method depends on the material, waterproof rating, seams, electronics, and manufacturer instructions. A universal shortcut can damage a product or leave areas unclean.

Start with the manual
Identify the exact model, body-contact material, removable parts, charging method, and waterproof rating. Water resistant does not automatically mean submersible, and an older generation may have different instructions.
Before cleaning
Disconnect charging accessories, remove batteries when the manual instructs it, and inspect for cracks, peeling surfaces, damaged seals, or trapped moisture. Stop using a damaged product until the manufacturer advises whether it is safe.
Routine cleaning
Use the mild method approved by the manufacturer, reach seams and textured areas without scratching them, rinse only when permitted, and remove all cleaner residue. Avoid improvised chemicals that may degrade the surface.
Drying
Pat dry with a clean lint-free cloth and allow remaining moisture to evaporate before storage. Pay special attention to charging contacts, openings, attachments, and textured areas.
Sharing
Use an appropriate barrier and clean between users. Do not move a product between body areas without changing the barrier and cleaning as appropriate. Porous or damaged products require extra caution.
Storage
Store each clean, fully dry product separately in a breathable or manufacturer-provided container. Keep it away from dust, lint, direct heat, incompatible materials, children, and anyone who has not consented to access.
When to replace
Replace or seek manufacturer guidance when a surface becomes sticky, cracked, permanently discolored without explanation, difficult to clean, or damaged around seals and electronics.
